One of the largest and most successful retail companies in Brazil, founded in 1929, Americanas offers a wide variety of products, including electronics, furniture, clothing, toys, books, and much more.

My role as a

UX Manager

As responsible for the leadership and management of the user experience design process for O2O and content, my role includes managing projects such as convenience experience, marketplace, Q&A, reviews, blog, and live, as well as other innovative initiatives such as store assistant and development of RED, our Design System. My goal is to ensure that all projects are created with a focus on improving our customers’ experience and that design decisions are based on research, feedback, and results. This is essential to ensure our users’ satisfaction and, therefore, increase conversions and sales. Additionally, it’s important to highlight that all this work is carried out with a team of talented people, including design coordinators and analysts.

Convenience 

The convenience experience of Americanas, known as “Entrega em até 3h” (delivery in up to 3 hours), along with “Americanas Mercado” (Grocery experience), was the fastest-growing product at the e-commerce giant in recent years. The experience offers popular convenience items in the market, including candy, beverages, food, hygiene products, and others.

Americanas Mercado (Grocery Experience)

The Americanas grocery shopping experience. After acquiring “Supermercado Now,” Americanas fully entered the food retail business by launching Americanas Mercado.

Americanas Ao Vivo (Live)

“Americanas Ao Vivo” is a Live Commerce, a new way to make purchases while obtaining exclusive discounts on a variety of products through live broadcasts. You will have fun watching live streams with the most beloved digital influencers on the internet and still take advantage of buying products with irresistible discounts. This is the biggest live commerce project in Brazilian retail.

Store Assistant

Focused on customers in physical stores, the store assistant is a feature available in the app where the user has access to exclusive promotions per store, information, exclusive content, catalog, and more!

Q&A e Review

Two extremely important products for the company, Q&A and Review are the fronts dedicated to developing solutions so that our customers generate and contribute to the platform with opinions, ratings, and comments.

RED | Design System

To make all professionals involved could evolve the product and maintain consistency from start to finish, we created from scratch a robust, scalable, and integrated Design System with ZeroHeight and Figma.

Future app concept

Another project I was responsible for, this time as a direct executor, was the creation of a concept with a future-oriented innovation vision. In the concept, we see some new initiatives for conversion and monetization in e-commerce, such as a new user-generated content tab, a promotions-dedicated area, and other completely redesigned screens, such as a home page focused on the user’s needs with personalized widgets and a new, fully redesigned product page.
